Premium Uploads Now Support Files up to 3 GB

InstantTranscriber Premium now supports audio and video uploads up to 3 GB per file, three times the previous 1 GB limit. The larger limit is available for direct file uploads and supported public-link imports.

What changed: Premium's maximum file size increased from 1 GB to 3 GB. The maximum duration remains 10 hours per file, and Premium still includes unlimited transcriptions.

Transcribe larger audio and video files

The 3 GB upload limit gives you more room for high-bitrate recordings, long interviews, conference sessions, lectures, podcasts, and video files that would otherwise need compression before transcription.

You can upload supported formats including MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, OGG, AIFF, MP4, MOV, MKV, and WebM. For video uploads, InstantTranscriber extracts the audio before transcription.

Premium upload limits at a glance

  • Maximum file size: 3 GB per file
  • Maximum duration: 10 hours per file
  • Transcriptions: unlimited
  • Inputs: audio, video, browser recordings, and supported public links

Clearer errors for files above the limit

The web app now checks the Premium file-size limit before uploading. If a file is over 3 GB, it is skipped immediately and you will see a clear message instead of waiting for an upload to fail. The server also returns a specific “file too large” response when it rejects an oversized upload.

How to upload a large file

Sign in to the InstantTranscriber web app, choose your audio or video file, select your transcription options, and start the transcript. If you are on the Free plan, see the Premium plan details to unlock uploads up to 3 GB.
